Moving Front Turn Signals

3421 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Atyler
I was looking last night at the front turn signals while thinking about putting a windshield on the bike. The turn signals clamp on, but the wire on the right signal runs around in a mannor that makes it more than just sliding the turn signal down the fork.

Has anyone done this or have tips on sliding the stock turn signals down (without cutting the wire)

I have done both fit a new screen (Rifle Custom II) and lowered the turn signals.
Don't recall having any problems.
Would like to see photos of moved signals and the fairing you installed...
this maybe due to the honda mechanic that put the bike together threaded the wiring through the accelerator cable. I have not looked any further on moving the turn signals down.

it looks like it should be simple. just seeing if anyone had the same issue - not sure if I can easily disconnect the wire from the head light or if it is easier to disconnect the accelerator cable so I can tread the turn signal wire through and free it up to move down

I installed a Memphis shades batwing fairing on my Stateline ,you can disconnect the wiring harness connection in the head light housing and reroute to allow the turn signals to slide down the fork tubes. There are clips on the signal clamps which will need to be swapped side for side , they slide down into the fork clamp and locate the turn signal bracket.
Thanks Doc, I was able to do just that.
