I asked Ultimate seat company about getting seats for my VT1300CT Interstate bike, and they sent this reply:

"Our new seats for your bike will be ready for production around end of June and as soon as the first one is made we will have them on our website.
Thanks
Des"

Thought I would let everyone know.

Thanks for the information. I am in the market for a seat and have been pricing everything from Corbins and Mustangs to some of the re-upholstery and gel insert options.

These seats look to be in the range of  low for a single low $ 300's, to mid $500's for seat with back rest to $mid 800's for rider, passenger and backrests.

Example:

http://www.ultimates...a/VTX1300R.html

These companies seem to have lower $ options

I had the Ultimate X on my VTX1300R and loved it. When I contacted them, they told me this Spring.

Another delay and I went with the Mustang.

I've spent so much on motorcycles, but I was still able to buy Jed Clampett's old place.

I had the mean city cycles mod done to my seat. WAY better than stock, friend has an Ultimate on his VTX. We trade bikes sometimes while out riding and that Ultimate seat is....well..... the Ultimate seat

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the seat.

2010 Interstate. Memory foam seat upgrade. Cobra FI2000R fuel tuner. Cobra slip ons. Modified air box ( going Cobra). MEM lowers (helped a lot). Pair valve removal and block off plates installed. Removed Honda badges and front fork reflectors

Hmmm may have to add a poll on this. So that is 2 votes for the Ultimate Seats.ca correct?

If I had the $$, I would have an Ultimate.

Corbin would be my next choice. Never ridden on a Corbin for the VT or VTX, but like the styling and those who have them seem to like them.

The advantage to the Corbin is that is you order it from them, they make it to fit YOU. Unless someone else has the same inseam/weight/height as you, it would (presumably) not be as comfortable to another rider as the original rider.

The Mustang takes a generic approach that works well for most riders and someone will know what they are getting in a resale. The Ultimate is a step up from the Mustang, but below the Corbin.

I would have bought the Ultimate if it had been available when my rear demanded immediate response.

This is my opinion as an owner of all of them. Your mileage may vary.

Having said all that, I still think all of them are improvements over the stock barn door than Honda puts a cover over and installs on the bikes.

Sounds like the replies from scootworks about risers. Different answers depending on the day and person answering the email.

Hi Larry, yes we will be making a seat for it but
won't be ready until around end of April.

Thanks

I'm 99% sure my friend told me that they (Ultimate) asked him his measurements and weight when he ordered.

We are currently in design stages of our new seat
for the Interstate and should have production around end of June.

OH and when asked about why his seats are the best because I indicated we are currently discussing this in a open forum:

The best seat is in the butt of the beholder and most every butt is different and has a different opinion, good luck.

I hope this seat is around this summer, I'm looking into different handlebars to get some more pullback.. Seems like it makes sense to get the seat first for the right measuring.

Sorry it was rocky from parkland upholstery. He has been in a lot of magazines for his work on custom cars. Matched the grain of the leather to the bags and brought it back nicely to go with the line of the bike. Really superior work
